This paper is based on a project we are doing, named three dimensional simulation and wandering system of Anting new town Shanghai, which is based on Vrplatform simulation software. In this paper, I mainly introduce some methods in optimized modeling of the texture in our project, including the optimizations of texture modeling process and the baking process, also some techniques supported by VRP, such as the distance touch-off technique and Billboard technique.</SPAN><SPAN lang=EN-US style="mso-font-kerning: 0pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 9.0pt"><o:p></o:p></SPAN></FONT></P>
